Dylan Thurston

I am a professor at Indiana University, Bloomington. I study low-dimensional topology, particularly finite-type invariants and geometric 3-manifold topology. I received my Ph.D. in 2000 from the University of California, Berkeley; my advisor was Vaughan Jones. Before Indiana, I was at Harvard and Barnard for some years, and Cornell, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Berkeley for shorter terms.

Research

I have a page of writing (including a program), and another page with notes for talks.

I am an editor of the journal Quantum Topology, published by the European Mathematical Society.
